H. & D. on Eternity & Heaven
[remember our Adventure's oh-Seven?]
[she talked as slow as honey
of the things about to
unfold in my veins & the
crossing of many seas]
barely listening
i wished instead
for both of us to be
rid of this place
two tickets to this side of the moon,
please!
but ,
as quick as Truth comes it seems
it could never get here too soon.
Just yesterday i played with Fate
skipped my heart across a
six-laned turtle race and
convinced everyone my blood was
Honey-laced &
right then and there they Believed
one of two things
two being how the Maps
had both of us misplaced
and
one was the fact that
this Love we've got isn't
one to be made waste.
(with haste we find rhyme in
and outside of your borders & mine
cheat time,
to rewind what we learned
and relearn what we left behind;
they call it being out of one's state of mind,
we call it simply letting Love lead us blind.)
for sake's
we haven't forsook
all the trains, planes,
heart-ache rollercoasters
and roadtrips still left un-took
we Promise we won't leave this world, the tin stars, or all of the golden-dust covered heavens unshook.
although,
this story cannot yet be found
in some ink-stained book...
what you once thought
a fairy tale ,
will have you taking another look.
